Pricing methodology
Four prices that should not be confused
Mythic Deal shows several kinds of price signals. Each answers a different question.
Market reference
The market reference is an outside benchmark for the exact printing when that data is available. It is context, not a promise that a card will sell at that price.
Seller asking price
A seller chooses the price for a specific printing, finish, condition, and quantity. Active listings can sit above or below the market reference.
Bounty offer
A bounty shows what a buyer is prepared to fund for requested cards. The total changes when cards, quantities, printings, or target prices change.
Negotiated price
Offers and counteroffers show live intent between one buyer and one seller. They are not treated as a public sale until a transaction completes.
Card identity and printing data are sourced from Scryfall. Marketplace prices are set by Mythic Deal buyers and sellers.
